The peak was first explored in 1952 by a Scottish Expedition led by Bill Murray.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu tours and preparation for Ramdung climbing.
Day 03: Drive to Charikot (1850m), Trek to Biguti (890m).
Day 04: Trek from Biguti to Surey Dovan (1020m).
Day 05: Trek from Surey Dovan to Jagat (1395m).
Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Simigaou (2000m).
Day 07: Trek from Simigaou to Kelchey (2990m).
Day 08: Trek from Kelchey to Beding (3693m).
Day 09: Trek from Beding to Na gaoun (4200m).
Day 10: Rest at Nagaou for Acclimatization.
Day 11: Trek to Tso Rolpo (4525m) and Ramdung base camp.
Day 12: Trek from Ramdung Base Camp to High camp.
Day 13: Summit the Ramdung peak and back to base camp.
Day 14: Trek from Ramdung Base Camp to Tolumbhu Buka (4850m).
Day 15: Trek to Thengpo (4300m) via Tasi Lapcha.
Day 16: Trek from Tengpo to Khumjung via Thame.
Day 17: Trek from Khumjung to Manjo via Namche Bazar (3440m).
Day 18: Trek from Manjo to Lukla.
Day 19: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner.
Day 20: Transfer to airport for onward destination.
Best season for Ramdung peak climbing in Nepal are autumn (September, October and November) and spring (March, April and May).
