Makalu expedition is also a rewarding and challenging take similar to other expedition. The adventure, geographic phenomenon, and natural treasures blooming across the elevation of 8481 meters above the sea level will be an unmatchable treat to explore. The mountain itself is the draw of this mountaineering endeavor as it appears like a four sided pyramid towering the unparalleled mountain panorama of Khumbu & makalu region.
Neighboring the mighty Everest at about the distance of 19 km to the southeast, Mt. Makalu is still among the fairly attempted expedition mountain in Nepal. On May 15, 1955, a French expedition led by Jean Franco made a successful ascent to the summit through the northeast ridge.
Despite all the appreciation, Makalu is seriously challenging and potentially dangerous mountain to climb. The mountain possesses some technical sections which utterly require careful and courageous ascent. As the ascent is pretty strenuous, we will be camping at four high camps. From each camp site, we can relish the splendid panorama of mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Peak 38, Baruntse, Pumori, Kanchenjunga, Junnu Himal, and possibly others.
The pleasure of natural and exotic ascent is accompanied by series of complications. So, you will need to be acquainted with the knowledge of technical climbing and extreme alpine conditions. We will provide you all the necessary trainings and guidance before you approach the mount Makalu summit.
